About the Artist
In 2022, Linda began her watercolor journey and has been enamored with the art form ever since. She started exhibiting in 2024, and has earned awards for her pieces that have shown in local museums and galleries including the Coral Springs Museum of Art, BRIC (Boca Raton Innovation Campus), Old School Square’s Crest Theatre, Bailey Contemporary Arts Center (BACA), Broward Art Guild, and Hatch 1121 Gallery in South Florida.
In May and June of 2025, she completed her first solo exhibit, “Beginnings,” in collaboration with Art Around Town and Broward Art Guild at the NW Regional Library in Coral Springs, Florida.
Linda prefers to work in a loose watercolor style with a minimalist feel to evoke a sense of uplifting calm for the viewer. She often chooses flowers as her subjects as she admires their fragile beauty as “nature’s jewelry”. She views art as a retreat from the stresses of worldly life and creates with the hope that her pieces provide a momentary escape from life’s challenges.
Her choice of palette is often bright in color to offer a visual place of lively joy and rejuvenation. She paints her pieces to remind us that, through art, there is still a way to continually refresh the soul in life’s journey.
Linda is originally from Boston and is a graduate of Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts. She has a Master’s in Education and now lives with her husband in South Florida.
Her newly found love for watercolor and ink illustrations has inspired a new chapter in her life and hopes her art offers peace, calm, and joy.
